Marijuana.Ca Directory

Welcome to our beta launch.

More categories and listings will be added over the coming weeks and months.

Legalization of marijuana is on the horizon.  We will be watching closely, the regulatory changes that will make up the legal recreational framework in Canada (some time in 2018).  Our Directory and website will reflect these pertinent changes as they happen, so we can bring you greater access to legal marijuana products and services.

For now, we provide our viewers with products and services that serve the legal medical marijuana (ACMPR) program in Canada.

As well, we will be enhancing our directory by adding lifestyle oriented brands/products and services.  Please visit our Discover page to view these upcoming categories.

If you are interested in adding your company in our directory, please visit our Contact Us page to get in touch.

ACMPR

In Canada, patients have a constitutional right to access marijuana for medical purposes.  On August 24, 2016, Health Canada released the new Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR), which are now in effect. The companies featured within the categories of this directory (Strains & Oils, Licensed Producers, Clinics, Home Growing, Lab Testing and Seeds and Clones), are companies operating under legal parameters to service authorized medical marijuana patients in Canada.

Home Growing and Designated GrowingUnder the ACMPR, Canadians who have been authorized by their health care practitioner to access cannabis for medical purposes will be able to produce a limited amount of cannabis for their own medical purposes, or designate someone to produce it for them. They will also continue to have the option of purchasing safe, quality-controlled cannabis from one of the many producers licensed by Health Canada.

Individuals wishing to produce a limited amount of cannabis for their own medical purposes, or to designate someone to produce it for them, will need to obtain authorization from their health care practitioner and register with Health Canada.  Additional information on how to register and legally purchase starting materials will be available on Health Canada’s website .  → Click here to continue reading the Statement from Health Canada concerning access to cannabis for medical purposes.
