The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) said Wednesday that it has signed six additional pot suppliers – to the initial 26 supply agreements announced on August 20, bringing the total to 32, as well as 10 accessories suppliers to serve the upcoming recreational market in the province on October 17.
The OCS will be the only (online) source to purchase recreational marijuana products in the province, when legalization goes into effect.
“These agreements are a significant milestone that signals our readiness for the legalization of cannabis in Ontario,” said Patrick Ford, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Ontario Cannabis Store. “These agreements will allow us to safely and securely provide a broad variety of cannabis products to adult customers when online sales begin.”
As well as being an online retailer, The OCS will also establish a wholesale distribution network to supply marijuana products to private retailers in Ontario by April 1, 2019.
