The Rubicon Organic’s team integrated Sustainable Plant Science Biochemistry and Bioengineering talent from academia with proven mechanized cannabis cultivation techniques from industrial horticulturalists including Cannabis Master Agronomists.

Jesse has practiced in the organic medical marijuana space since 2005. He founded Whistler Medical Marijuana Corporation (WMMC), and was one of the first ten licensed producers and is still one of only a handful of Federally legal, Health Canada Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR) licensed facilities. The Canadian MMPR system has arguably the most difficult licensing process in the world. Since founding WMMC, Jesse set his sites on the evolving situation in the US and has since been involved in organic cannabis cultivation and processing facilities in Washington, Massachusetts, Arizona, Illinois, California, Colorado, and Nevada. He holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honors from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Victoria. In 2014, Jesse and his team were hired to develop the Organic growing standard for the cultivation of medical marijuana by Health Canada.
